Social Change Consulting has been fortunate to work with several great nonprofit organizations over the last year. Below is a handful of organizations that we have worked with and several that we support individually.
Adolescent Health Working Group

Adolescent Health Working Group (AHWG) improves health equity so that all youth ages 11 to 24 in California and beyond have unimpeded access to comprehensive, youth-centered, and culturally-based healthcare. AHWG brings together a coalition of youth-serving providers who are leaders in their field and young people and caregivers with lived-experiences to create innovative resources, training opportunities, peer-to-peer networks, and leadership roles related to harm reduction and policy improvements in the areas of sexual health, mental health, and substance use.
College of Southern Nevada Foundation

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is the largest post-secondary institution in Nevada, with a majority-minority student body and many students who are the first in their family to graduate from high school and enter college. The CSN Foundation’s mission is to graduate CSN students debt-free through philanthropy. Their work was increasingly important this year as they launched an emergency fund to provide CSN students with short-term, emergency financial needs to stay in school.
East Bay Children’s Law Offices

The mission of East Bay Children’s Law Offices (EBCLO) is to protect and defend the rights of children and youth through holistic, vigorous legal advocacy. EBCLO strives to provide a voice for children in and out of the courtroom and to promote positive outcomes for them.
IndieSpace/The Indie Theater Fund

IndieSpace creates permanent real estate solutions for the independent theater community. By delivering affordable creative space for a diversity of performing artists along with supportive programming, IndieSpace will help preserve and enhance a vital piece of the cultural lives of New Yorkers. The Indie Theater Fund protects, sustains, and strengthens independent theater presented in the five boroughs of New York City. In addition to granting vital financial resources to theater companies and individual artists, we stimulate the growth of independent theater by seeding projects that support and develop the community as a whole.

inewsource is a nonprofit, nonpartisan newsroom dedicated to improving lives in the San Diego region and beyond through impactful, data-based investigative and accountability journalism. Their reporting tackles the biggest issues in the region, often the ones that affect communities that are overlooked or neglected.
Jackson Orthopedic Foundation

Jackson Orthopedic Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of people with musculoskeletal conditions through education, research, and service. The organization is primarily volunteer-driven – their team works around the clock to educate the public and healthcare professionals.
Orion Academy

Orion Academy is the first high school in California to provide an education specifically for students with an Autism Spectrum diagnosis. The program is structured on our understanding of the theoretical basis of neurocognitive disorders. Focus is on remediating social, emotional, and visual–spatial deficits in a safe learning environment. The Orion community works collaboratively to help students discover and develop their individual gifts and strengths, become self-advocates, and realize their full potential.
Sankofa CDC

Sankofa Community Development Corporation works with residents and other stakeholders to identify locally felt social challenges and address them in thoughtful, culturally competent ways. The organization was founded in 2008 by Rashida Ferdinand in alliance with community stakeholders in the Lower Ninth area following the Hurricane Katrina disaster to support health-centered community and economic development in the area.
