- Eric Lipton and Danielle Ivory from the New York Times highlights how the EPA, under the Trump Administration, have slowed actions against polluters. Many organizations dedicated to environmental justice and health are seeing the effects of this.
- As the tax bill rolls on, Jan Masaoka, Bob Hand, and Sopac McCarthy Mulholland penned an editorial in the Fresno Bee encouraging Congressman Devin Nunes to uphold the Johnson Amendment to help protect nonprofits. And thankfully, it looks like the Johnson Amendment is still in the GOP Tax Bill. Ruth McCambridge writes about it on NPQ.
- Jonathan Shieber of TechCrunch shares that in addition to the net neutrality decision, the Federal Communications Commission made another decision that could be devastating to many Americans. “In mid-November, the Commission decided to “re-think” it’s Lifeline program, which provides subsidies for broadband internet subscriptions to low-income Americans in cities and tribal regions around the country.”
